I never look back!

december 31st, 2009

Many lists circle on the Internet about what 2009 brought us, but I would like to focus on what’s ahead of me and my family.

Last year I published a picture of Barack Obama in front of a brand new Apple MacBook and for me that was t photo for 2008. Not much later he became president of the United States Of America.

This year my picture for 2009 goes out to the Dutch Rockband KANE during their performance at the 3FM radio show with @Giel3FM.

This is a very unique picture because they are one of the best selling bands in The Netherlands and, after The Golden Earring, one of the most successful rock bands in Dutch music history. Just look at how close the fans are standing and recording every moment of their favourite moment in KANE music history. Also a special ‘thank you’ to Giel Beelen, who is a radio presenter artist and inspires a lot of new bands by reconizing new and upcoming talent by welcoming them in his show.

On December 27th 2009 I was married for 12.5 years with my beautiful and loving Linda, who is a huge KANE fan. Because I knew that “Damn Those Eyes” performed by KANE is her most loved song, I decided to sing the song for her in during our anniversary party last Sunday. All our best friends and family where at this special occasion and I was really nervous because their is difference performing live and acoustic front of your closest friends and family. I will post some pictures of this special night later.

In 2010 I will (re-)start with singing lessons and start as a amateur singer & songwriter. From 1992 till 1996 I use to sing and write a lot, together with a small group of friends in the Rotterdam area. We mainly covered bands such as Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Stereophonics, Lenny Kravitz and even some Joy Division. I sure hope that I can pick-up where I left of and have the same fun as I did than.

2010 is not going to be that much different than 2009. For me every day is different with some stable factors in live that I really love, such as; my wife and children, family and friends! So, I’m not going to make such a big deal out of all this 2010 new year mambo-jambo…

Because: “If You Can’t Rock and Roll, Don’t F…… Come”
